Stig Dagerman’s ‘The Shadow of Mart’ premiers on Friday, January 6, being performed in Cyprus for the first time.
Swedish author Dagerman says that this is a play about the human shadow. When people die, their shadows are left behind to frighten us, to teach us or to kill us. We watch them reluctantly moving on walls and our only hope is to turn the lights off. Directed by Christos Karchadakis, the play is in Greek.
The play will be performed at Thoc’s New Stage every Friday and Saturday at 8.30pm. Tickets priced at €12, € 6. They are on sale in Nicosia from THOC sales point (), Latsia Municipal Theatre (), New stage THOC () from 6.15pm on the night of the show.
