Academy award-winning actress Olympia Dukakis will take part in the one woman play ‘Rose’ by Martin Sherman, presented by the Cyprus Theatre Organisation (Thoc).
The performance will be at Limassol’s Rialto Theatre on April 6, beginning at 8.30pm.
‘Rose’ is the story of a woman who manages to survive a Nazi concentration camp. Sherman was in fact inspired by his own grandmother’s story. The play was nominated for the Lawrence Olivier Award for Best New Play when it premiered in London’s National Theatre in 2000, where Dukakis starred in it for the first time. Later that year the show transferred to Broadway.
The performance is in English with Greek upper titles.
